Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life and you want to be sure you remember it forever. Wedding photographs and videos help you to hold on to those precious memories, so what happens if disaster strikes and you lose them all? That is where we step in.

Our Wedding Photos & Videos Insurance policy covers a number of issues relating to wedding ceremony photos:

• If your photographer does not turn up and you need to have the photos restaged
• Total loss or damage to the film negatives or the digital storage, prior to copies being made
• If all the photos are not developed by the contracted photographer/videographer

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide cover for bad photos or offer any form of compensation if the images are blurry or insufficient quality.

Your photographer should be a professional, and as such, should have their own insurance in place for the majority of incidents which arise. In the instance that their professional insurance doesn’t cover the problem, and it is also something which is not covered under their contract; that is when we step in.

Wedding Photography Claims

Unfortunately, wedding photography claims are a fairly common occurrence and the best you can do is to be prepared and have a backup plan.

"In July 2014 Mrs Roper, nee Hodges, booked a photographer for her ceremony and reception. The data card used for the ceremony photos was corrupted and all the photos from that part of the day were lost. The contract with the photographer advised that he was not responsible for failure of his equipment for reasons beyond his control. Because he had not been negligent, his insurance didn’t cover the incident either. As such, Mrs Roper came to us and we were able to arrange the re-staging of the photos at her request."
