If you are unable to comply with the DTI regulations, then unfortunately we cannot offer you cover. You MUST comply with those regulations otherwise we will not be able to provide a policy for your event. However, if you are unable to comply with the DTI tips we have a degree of flexibility and cover will be offered depending on the content of your risk assessment and site plan.
We will not cover fireworks events that use fireworks higher than category 3.
We can only offer single event policies for fireworks events, we can look to cover you however our policy is not really designed to cater to professional fireworks companies.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer cover for the user of sparklers.
Yes, we can offer Employers Liability Insurance for stewards, ticket collectors and general helpers – whether they are paid or voluntary helpers. Unfortunately, we cannot offer cover for the people releasing the fireworks or lighting the bonfire.
It is always best practice to make everyone in the surrounding area aware of the fireworks night. Not only will you be engaging with the community but residents or nearby businesses will be able to take any precautions such as keeping pets inside, in case it causes them a shock!
We can provide you with a quotation for cancellation cover, but we will need to talk to you to check a few things first. Please give us a call on 01425 484861.
We are more than happy to amend your cover dates, particularly if this is due to bad weather or health and safety concerns. Unlike many insurers, we will do this free of charge.
